Meet Janet

Janet was born in Angleton, Texas and raised by her grandparents on a farm in Tivoli, Texas. Her grandparents taught her morals and respect at an early age which she lives by as an adult. Janet moved to Brazoria County in 2002, and she is currently employed as the Assistant Chief of West Columbia Police Department. She received her Bachelors of Science Degree and is currently enrolled in graduate classes for Leadership and Management from Sam Houston State University. She is a graduate from LEMIT at Sam Houston in June 2022. She is married to Travis Parten, and they share six children in a blended family along with five grandchildren. She is running for Constable of Precinct 4 in Brazoria County. Her goals for the Constable Precinct 4's Office is transparency, fiscal obligation, teamwork and building positive relationships.
